Arham Engineering teamed up with Ravin Infraproject Pvt. Ltd. to supply HDPE pipe with flaring in Aarey Colony, Mumbai. The challenge was to connect pipes for 18,000 meters and make it cost efficient .
THE SPECIFICATIONS:
Ravin Infraproject utilizes HDPE pipes with flaring to cover a distance of 18,000 meters. Normally, a pipe length is 6 meters. To cover the distance they would have to join two pipes together which can get extremely expensive. Instead, we suggested they install male to female pipe connections of 18,000 Mtrs quantity to save on product costs. In just the span of 2 months the whole project was executed well. Earlier the expected cost was Rupees 800 per joint, using HDPE pipes with flaring only cost them Rupees 175 per joint.
THE BENEFITS:
HDPE pipe with flaring is now their product of choice because it is:
- Economical
- Corrosion resistant
- Chemically resistant
- Flexible
- User and installer friendly. However, we would suggest this only for cable and not for water supply since water supply has higher pressure.
